Fibers placed irregularly throughout the fabric create an interesting stubbled texture with an old-fashioned dried basil tone. This luxurious fabric is medium to heavy in weight and shines nicely in the light. Especially remarkable is the double weave, which allows for two tones of dried basil to shine through at once. The material is crisp to the touch and doesn't wrinkle badly or maintain a crease. It is reversible, not particularly stretchy, and relatively easy to work with. Traditionally used in India for saris and suits, this fabric is marvelous for any garment, from dress shirts to formal gowns.
